Screed Extension Heater Element Installation
1. Install bolt-on screed extension heater element (Figure 3, Item 13) onto bolton screed extension, ensuring it is
centered in the bolt-on screed extension and the cloth insulator is facing up.
2. Install hold down bar (Figure 3, Item 14) over screed extension heater element (Figure 3, Item 13).
3. Install three hold down brackets (Figure 3, Item 10) over hold down bar (Figure 3, Item 14), ensuring hold
down brackets (Figure 3, Item 10) mounting holes are aligned with bolt-on screed extension mounting holes
(Figure 3, Item 12).
4. Install six bolts (Figure 3, Item 8) and new lock washers (Figure 3, Item 9) onto hold down brackets (Figure 3,
Item 10).
5. Install bolt-on screed extension heater element (Figure 3, Item 13) onto bolt-on screed extension heater
element cover (Figure 3, Item 7), and tighten jam nut and nut (Figure 3, Item 11).
6. Install bolt-on screed extension heater element cover (Figure 3, Item 7), six bolts (Figure 3, Item 2), and new
lock washers (Figure 3, Item 1) onto bolt-on screed extension.
7. Lower the lower screw housing (Figure 3, Item 4), and install bolt (Figure 3, Item 3), flat washer (Figure 3,
Item 5), and new locking nut (Figure 3, Item 6) onto bolt-on screed extension heater element cover (Figure 3,
Item 7).
