Bolt-On Screed Extension Vertical Attack Angle Adjustment Screw Removal -- Continued.
NOTE
It may be necessary to turn lower screw housing counterclockwise until there is no more room,
then repeat steps 4, 5, and 6, then continue with step 7.
6. Remove jam nut (Figure 1, Item 10) and nut (Figure 1, Item 11).
7. Remove screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1) from screed extension
vertical attack angle adjustment screw housing (Figure 1, Item 3) and screed extension bracket (Figure 1,
Item 14).
8. Remove bolt (Figure 1, Item 8), flat washer (Figure 1, Item 5), and locking nut (Figure 1, Item 6) from bracket
(Figure 1, Item 7). Discard locking nut.
9. Remove lower screw housing (Figure 1, Item 9) from screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw
(Figure 1, Item 1).

Bolt-On Screed Extension Vertical Attack Angle Adjustment Screw Installation
1. Insert screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1) into screed extension and
screed extension bracket (Figure 1, Item 14).
2. Install screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw housing (Figure 1, Item 3) onto screed
extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1).
3. Install nut (Figure 1, Item 11) onto screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1)
clockwise until approximately 2 inches (in) (51 millimeters(mm)) of thread is showing below nut (Figure 1, Item
11).
4. Install jam nut (Figure 1, Item 10) onto screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1,
Item 1).
5. Install lower screw housing (Figure 1, Item 9) onto screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw
(Figure 1, Item 1) by turning clockwise until it reaches nut (Figure 1, Item 11).
6. Tighten two set screws (Figure 1, Item 12) on locking collar (Figure 1, Item 13).
7. Install two bolts (Figure 1, Item 2) and new locking nuts (Figure 1, Item 4) into screed extension bracket
(Figure 1, Item 14) and screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw housing (Figure 1, Item 3).
8. Install screw (Figure 1, Item 8), flat washer (Figure 1, Item 5), and new locking nut (Figure 1, Item 6) into
bracket (Figure 1, Item 7) and screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1).
9. Turn screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1) clockwise until stop collar
(Figure 1, Item 15) makes contact with screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw housing
(Figure 1, Item 3). It may be necessary to turn nut (Figure 1, Item 11) and jam nut (Figure 1, Item 10)
clockwise to create room for screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw (Figure 1, Item 1) to
screw into lower screw housing (Figure 1, Item 9).
10. Turn nut (Figure 1, Item 11) clockwise until it reaches screed extension vertical attack angle adjustment screw
housing (Figure 1, Item 3).
11. Tighten jam nut (Figure 1, Item 10).
