Intake Air Heater Installation
1. Install intake air heater (Figure 1, Item 4) into intake air heater housing (Figure 1, Item 5), and install set
screw (Figure 1, Item 11) onto intake air heater housing finger-tight.
2. Install nylon spacer (Figure 1, Item 6) onto long end of terminal stud (Figure 1, Item 7), and install through
intake air heater housing (Figure 1, Item 5) and into intake air heater (Figure 1, Item 4).
3. Install two housing bolts (Figure 1, Item 12) into intake air heater housing (Figure 1, Item 5) finger-tight.
4. Torque set screw (Figure 1, Item 11) and housing bolts (Figure 1, Item 12) to 65 inch-pounds (in-lb) (8
Newton meters (Nm)). Torque terminal stud (Figure 1, Item 7) to 61 in-lb (6.9 Nm).
5. Install two wires (Figure 1, Item 8) onto terminal stud (Figure 1, Item 7), and install flat washer (Figure 1, Item
9) and nut (Figure 1, Item 10) onto terminal stud finger-tight.
6. Torque nut (Figure 1, Item 10) to 65 in-lb (8 Nm).
7. Install intake air elbow (Figure 1, Item 1), new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 3), and V-clamp band (Figure 1, Item 2)
onto intake air heater housing (Figure 1, Item 5).
END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Install radiator cooler airflow hoses (WP 0365).
2. Install engine hood assembly (WP 0433).
3. Verify proper operation.
