Fuel Metering Pump Installation -- Continued.
NOTE
When applying torque to fuel rail supply line, apply a counter-torque on the high-pressure
pump outlet port to prevent over-tightening.
Pipe thread sealant cure time is 30 minutes to use fuel system and 72 hours for full cure.
Apply sealant to pipe threads prior to installation.
5. Install fuel rail supply line (Figure 1, Item 11) to fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4), and torque to 22 foot-pounds (ft-
lb) (30 Nm).
6. Install loop clamps (Figure 1, Items 13 and 15) using nut (Figure 1, Item 12) and stud (Figure 1, Item 14) onto
engine.
7. Install fuel drain line (Figure 1, Item 5) to fitting on fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
8. Install two fuel filter head line (Figure 1, Item 9) to fittings on fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
9. Install supply fuel line (Figure 1, Item 8) to quick disconnect adapter (Figure 1, Item 7).
10. Connect wiring harness W25 C9 (Figure 1, Item 10) to fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) connector.

FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Install spin-on fuel filter head assembly (WP 0339).
2. Install engine (WP 0323).
3. Set BATTERY DISCONNECT switch to ON (TM 5-3895-385-10).
4. Verify proper operation, and check for fuel leaks.
5. Dispose of captured fluids and soiled rags IAW local SOP.
