FUEL FILTER LINES, SUPPLY LINE, DRAIN LINE, AND INJECTOR LINES REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
WARNING
Fuels used in the Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM) are combustible. Do not
smoke or use open flame when performing maintenance. Fire and possible explosion may
result. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel and damage to equipment.
Fuels used in the BMPM are combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Skin
and eye protection are required when working in contact with fuel. Avoid repeated or
prolonged contact. Provide adequate ventilation. Operators are to wash exposed skin and
change soaked clothing promptly if exposed to fuel. Failure to comply may cause injury or
death to personnel.
CAUTION
Dirt and debris can contaminate fuel system. Cap/plug all open fuel lines and ports to prevent
contamination from entering fuel system. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Capture all spilled fuel In Accordance With (IAW) local Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Tag and label all fuel filter lines prior to removal. Fuel filter lines must be installed correctly for
proper operation. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Disconnect fuel filter lines (Figure 1, Items 8 and 9) from IN and OUT fittings (Figure 1, Items 2 and 3) on fuel
filter head (Figure 1, Item 1).
2. Disconnect fuel filter lines (Figure 1, Items 8 and 9) from fuel pump fittings (Figure 1, Items 10 and 11).
3. Remove hose clips (Figure 1, Items 4, 5, and 6) from fuel filter lines (Figure 1, Items 8 and 9).
4. Cap/plug fuel filter lines (Figure 1, Items 8 and 9) and fittings (Figure 1, Items 2, 3, 10, and 11).
