Crankcase Breather and Hose Installation
1. Install hose clamp (Figure 2, Item 3) onto crankcase breather hose (Figure 2, Item 4).
2. Install crankcase breather hose (Figure 2, Item 4) onto crankcase breather elbow (Figure 2, Item 2), and
tighten hose clamp (Figure 2, Item 3).
3. Apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to O-ring (Figure 2, Item 1).
4. Install new O-ring (Figure 2, Item 1) onto crankcase breather elbow (Figure 2, Item 2).
5. Install crankcase breather elbow (Figure 2, Item 2) into crankcase (Figure 2, Item 7).
6. Install bracket (Figure 2, Item 6) and screw (Figure 2, Item 5) onto crankcase breather elbow (Figure 2, Item
2).
END OF TASK
FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Install engine hood assembly (WP 0433).
2. Set BATTERY DISCONNECT switch ON (TM 5-3895-385-10).
3. Verify proper operation.
