Fuel Metering Pump Removal -- Continued
CAUTION
Tag and label fuel lines and fuel pump fittings prior to removal. Fuel lines and fuel pump
fittings must be installed correctly for proper operation. Failure to comply may cause damage
to equipment.
Capture spilled fuel In Accordance With (IAW) local Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Tag and disconnect wiring harness W25 C9 (Figure 1, Item 10).
2. Place wiping rag under fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) to capture spilled fuel.
3. Disconnect supply fuel line (Figure 1, Item 8) from fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Remove quick disconnect adapter (Figure 1, Item 7) and seal (Figure 1, Item 6) from fuel pump (Figure 1,
Item 4).
5. Disconnect fuel rail supply line (Figure 1, Item 11) from fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
6. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 12), stud (Figure 1, Item 14), loop clamps (Figure 1, Items 13 and 15), and fuel
rail supply line (Figure 1, Item 11) from engine.
7. Disconnect fuel drain line (Figure 1, Item 5) from fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
8. Disconnect fuel filter head line (Figure 1, Item 9) from fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4).
9. Remove three flange nuts (Figure 1, Item 3) securing fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) to mounting studs (Figure
1, Item 1).
10. Remove fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) from mounting studs (Figure 1, Item 1).
11. Cap/plug all disconnected fuel lines (Figure 1, Items 5, 8, 9, and 11) and fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) fittings.

Fuel Metering Pump Installation
1. Remove caps/plugs from all disconnected fuel lines (Figure 1, Items 5, 8, 9, and 11) and fuel pump (Figure 1,
Item 4) fittings.
2. Install seal (Figure 1, Item 6) and quick disconnect adapter (Figure 1, Item 7) into fuel pump (Figure 1, Item
4).
3. Install fuel pump (Figure 1, Item 4) onto mounting studs (Figure 1, Item 1). Ensure fuel pump gear mates with
rear gear housing (Figure 1, Item 2) drive gear.
4. Install three flange nuts (Figure 1, Item 3) onto mounting studs (Figure 1, Item 1), and torque to 221 inch-
pounds (in-lb) (25 Newton meters (Nm)).
