Hydraulic Oil Return Filter Assembly Installation -- Continued.
3. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 9) onto outside of filter housing (Figure 1, Item 8), and install filter housing
(Figure 1, Item 8) into reservoir fill neck (Figure 1, Item 12).
4. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 7) onto hydraulic oil filter (Figure 1, Item 6).
5. Install hydraulic oil filter (Figure 1, Item 6) onto filter housing (Figure 1, Item 8) mount.
6. Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 4) into seat on top of reservoir fill neck (Figure 1, Item 12). Coat O-ring
(Figure 1, Item 4) with clean hydraulic oil.
7. Install spring (Figure 1, Item 5) on top of hydraulic oil filter (Figure 1, Item 6).
8. Install reservoir cap (Figure 1, Item 1) onto threaded studs (Figure 1, Item 10), apply downward pressure to
reservoir cap, and install three new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3) and wing nuts (Figure 1, Item 2) onto
threaded studs.
9. Connect hydraulic hose 30 onto reservoir fill neck (Figure 1, Item 12).

FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Fill hydraulic reservoir, if required (WP 0280).
2. Install hydraulic cover vent (WP 0429).
3. Set BATTERY DISCONNECT switch to ON (TM 5-3895-385-10).
4. Verify proper operation.
