Bearing rings, preformed packings, and
piston
rings
may
be
distorted
during
installation. Allow a minimum of one hour
for bearing rings, preformed packings, and
piston rings to conform to original shape
before reassembling component. Bypass
leakage can result from poor installation.

INSTALL BEARING RINGS, PREFORMED
PACKINGS, AND PISTON RING ON SERVO
PISTON.
a.
Lubricate all parts with petrolatum.
Bearing rings, preformed packings, and
piston
rings
may
be
distorted
during
installation. Use care during installation to
prevent
damage
to
bearing
rings,
preformed packings, and piston rings.
Bypass leakage can result from poor
installation.
b.
Install bearing rings (119) on servo piston (108).
c.
Install preformed packings (118) on servo piston.
d.
Install one piston ring (117) over preformed
packing on servo piston end opposite servo
spring opening.
e.
Set other piston ring (117) aside for later
installation.
