INSTALL AND ALIGN FLYWHEEL ON ENGINE
BLOCK.
a.
Insert flywheel guide pins in two opposing
crankshaft assembly (136) holes.
b.
Remove any dirt or foreign material on mating
surfaces of flywheel and crankshaft assembly
(136) with a cleaning cloth.
Use caution when installing flywheel.
Flywheel is heavy and, if dropped,
may cause serious injury. Have an
extra person assist with installation
of flywheel.
c.
With the help of another person, install and slide
flywheel (112) up against crankshaft assembly
and onto guide pins.
Flywheel is heavy and may cause
serious personnel injury if dropped.
Do not allow weight of flywheel to
shift and fall from flywheel housing.
Hold
flywheel
against
crankshaft
assembly so it will not fall.
d.
While holding flywheel (112) against
crankshaft assembly (136), install flat washers
(111), and hex head cap screws (110). Remove
flywheel guide pins and install remaining flat
washers and hex head cap screws. Tighten to
80 lb-ft (108 Nm).
