Never smoke whenusing solvent; the flashpoint for TypeIII cleaning solvent is 200°F (93,3°C).Failure to do so may result in injuryor death to personnel. If personnelbecome dizzy while using cleaningsolvent, immediately get fresh air andmedical help. If solvent contacts skinor clothes, flush with cold water. Ifsolvent contacts eyes, flush eyeswith water and get immediate medicalattention.c.Clean hydraulic hose ends and fittings withcleaning solvent and lint-free cloth.d.Place machinery wiping towels under hydraulicreturn filter assembly (3).e.Place drip pan under hydraulic return filterassembly (3).Hydraulic oil can be moderatelyflammable and can be an irritant tothe skin, eyes, and respiratorysystem. Avoid prolonged exposure.Eye protection and rubber glovesmust be worn when working withhydraulic oil.f.With the help of another person, tag andunscrew hydraulic hoses (4 and 5) with acombination wrench. Drain hydraulic oil fromhydraulic return filter assembly into drip pan.Dispose of hydraulic oil and contaminatedmachinery wiping towels in accordance with localprocedures.g.Plug hydraulic hoses to prevent contamination.GO TO NEXT PAGE13-36
