Idler Pulley Assembly Removal

1. Remove battery-charging alternator belt from pulleys (perform step 1 of Battery-Charging Alternator Belt
Removal task).
2. Remove pulley (Figure 3, Item 5), four bolts (Figure 3, Item 3), and idler support (Figure 3, Item 4) from
engine.

Idler Pulley Assembly Installation
1. Install idler support (Figure 3, Item 4) and four bolts (Figure 3, Item 3) onto engine. Torque bolts to 24 foot-
pounds (ft-lb) (32 Newton meters (Nm)).
2. Install pulley (Figure 3, Item 5) onto engine.
3. Install battery-charging alternator belt (perform steps 1 2 of Battery-Charging Alternator Belt Installation
task).
