Coolant Temperature Sensor and Oil Pressure Switch Installation (Method 1)
NOTE
Method 1 applies to both the coolant temperature sensor and the oil pressure switch.
Instructions for installation of the coolant temperature sensor are listed below. The steps are
the same for the oil pressure sensor unless otherwise noted. Coolant temperature sensor
shown.
Coolant temperature sensor and oil pressure switch are fixed-depth sensors. There is no
provision for adjustment.
1. Apply a light coat of clean engine oil to new O-ring (Figure 2, Item 3).
2. Install new O-ring (Figure 2, Item 3) onto sensor (Figure 2, Item 2).
3. Install sensor (Figure 2, Item 2) onto engine (Figure 2, Item 4).
4. Connect wiring harness (Figure 2, Item 1) to sensor (Figure 2, Item 2).
