Depth Screw Removal

1. Ensure depth screw locking tab (Figure 1, Item 4) is holding the depth screw handle assembly (Figure 1, Item
2) into place.
2. Remove depth screw bracket (Figure 1, Item 7) from screed extension bolt (Figure 1, Item 5) by loosening
jam nut (Figure 1, Item 8) and turning threaded rod (Figure 1, Item 9) until depth screw bracket is free of
threaded rod and there is approximately 6 inches (in) (15.2 centimeters (cm)) of threading visible.
3. Remove handle retaining pin (Figure 1, Item 3) from the depth screw handle assembly (Figure 1, Item 2).
Discard retaining pin.
4. Remove locking nut (Figure 1, Item 6) from screed extension bolt (Figure 1, Item 5). Discard locking nut.
