4. Install two bolts (Figure 4, Item 6), new lock washers (Figure 4, Item 7), and screed end gate bracket mount
bar (Figure 4, Item 8) onto screed extension (Figure 4, Item 2).
CAUTION
To ensure proper operation, do not over tighten the nut on screed extension bolt. There should be
just enough space to allow the end gate to tilt. Approximately three threads of the screed
extension bolt will be showing. Failure to comply will cause degraded operation.
5. Install new lock nut (Figure 4, Item 5) onto screed extension bolt (Figure 4, Item 3) until lock nut just touches
the end gate depth screw bracket (Figure 4, Item 4).
