Do notlower the screed onto the cribbing.Cribbing may have to berepositioned during alignmentprocedure to allow for placement ofstraightedge and to viewmeasurement points.a.Place straightedge (10) along leading edge ofmain screed plate (11). Have one personsupport straightedge at each end.b.Measure lead crown gap at center of screedbetween straightedge and screed plate using aruler. If lead crown is between 0.06 in. (1,5 mm)and 0.19 in. (4,8 mm), no further crownadjustment is necessary.c.If lead crown on main screed plate is greaterthan 0.19 in. (4,8 mm) or less than 0.06 in.
