TM 5-3895-373-10i.Remove hex nut (1), lockwasher (2), hex headcap screw (3), and shaft cover (4) from end ofauger extension shaft.j.Remove hex nut (5), lockwasher (6), shaft cover(7), flat washer (8), and hex head cap screw (9).WARNINGTo avoid personal injury, do notattempt to lift and remove the 2 ftauger and fender extension alone. 2ft auger and fender extension weighsapproximately 120 lbs (54,4 kg).Always use a second person to helphold the 2 ft extension duringremoval. Failure to do so may resultin serious injury.k.With the help of another person, remove hexnuts (13), flat washers (12), hex head capscrews (11), and 2 ft auger and fender extension(10). Replace hex head cap screws, flatwashers, and hex nuts in 2 ft auger and fenderextension mounting holes after removal.l.Replace hex head cap screw (9), flat washer (8),shaft cover (7), lockwasher (6), and hex nut (5)onto 2 ft auger and fender extension auger shaftafter removal.m.Install shaft cover (4) on main auger shaft usinghex head cap screw (3), lockwasher (2), and hexnut (1).n.Start paving machine per paragraph 2.10.o.Place throttle control switch to "MAX" position.p.Place screed lift switch to the up, RAISEposition. Raise screed fully up.q.Remove wood support blocks from under eachend of main screed.r.Retract both left and right extension screeds perparagraph 2.19.2-80
