Illustrationsshow installation on the right side of thepaving machine.To pave widths of 10 to 12 ft (3,0 to 3,7 m), the 1 ft augerand fender extensions must be installed on both sides ofthe paving machine. The 1 ft augers and fenders mustbe compared to determine the left auger and fender fromthe right auger and fender. Ensure the spiral direction ofthe auger extension assemblies match that of the matingauger shaft. Failure to install the correct auger extensionon the correct side of the paving machine will cause thepaving material to build up in the auger chamber and notmove the paving material out in front of the screed.2-72
