HD STYLE CONNECTOR RECEPTACLE REPAIR

1. Pull back insulation (Figure 1, Item 1) from connector (Figure 1, Item 2) and wire (Figure 1, Item 5).
2. Remove a terminal (Figure 1, Item 3) and wire (Figure 1, Item 5) from connector (Figure 1, Item 2).
3. Cut and remove terminal (Figure 1, Item 3) from wire (Figure 1, Item 5).
4. Remove one-quarter of an inch (6 millimeters (mm)) of insulation (Figure 1, Item 4) from end of wire (Figure 1,
Item 5).
NOTE
Ensure all strands of wire are inside terminal when installing.
5. Install terminal (Figure 1, Item 3) to wire (Figure 1, Item 5), and crimp terminal.
6. Insert terminal (Figure 1, Item 3) and wire (Figure 1, Item 5) into connector (Figure 1, Item 2).
