Diagnostic Wiring Harness Removal -- Continued.
1. Remove four bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and cover (Figure 1, Item 1) from
Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM). Discard lock washers.
2. Disconnect W26 J1 (Figure 1, Item 11) from Y13 P3 (Figure 1, Item 12).
3. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 9), flat washer (Figure 1, Item 8), and power cable (Figure 1, Item 7) from
BATTERY DISCONNECT switch post (Figure 1, Item 6).
4. Remove four nuts (Figure 1, Item 10) and screws (Figure 1, Item 4) from W26 J2 (Figure 1, Item 5) and
diagnostic wiring harness from cover (Figure 1, Item 1).
CAUTION
Tag and label all electric cables and connections prior to removal. Electric cables must be
installed correctly for proper operation. Failure to comply will cause damage to equipment.
5. Remove pins from W26 J2 (Figure 1, Item 5), and remove diagnostic wiring harness from cover (Figure 1,
Item 1).

Diagnostic Wiring Harness Installation
1. Install pins into W26 J2 (Figure 1, Item 5).
2. Install diagnostic wiring harness into cover (Figure 1, Item 1), and install four nuts (Figure 1, Item 10) and
screws (Figure 1, Item 4) onto W26 J2 (Figure 1, Item 5) and cover.
3. Install nut (Figure 1, Item 9), flat washer (Figure 1, Item 8), and power cable (Figure 1, Item 7) onto BATTERY
DISCONNECT switch post (Figure 1, Item 6).
4. Connect W26 J1 (Figure 1, Item 11) onto Y13 P3 (Figure 1, Item 12).
5. Install four bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and cover (Figure 1, Item 1) onto
BMPM.

FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Install cable ties where necessary.
2. Connect batteries (WP 0357).
3. Verify proper operation.
