Screed Lift Hydraulic Cylinder Hose Removal -- Continued.
CAUTION
Tag and label hydraulic hoses prior to removal. Hydraulic hoses must be installed correctly for
proper operation. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
6. Disconnect hydraulic hose 78B (Figure 3, Item 2) and hydraulic hose 79B (Figure 3, Item 1) from screed lift
hydraulic cylinder (Figure 3, Item 8), and cap/plug hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings.
7. Disconnect hydraulic hose 78B (Figure 3, Item 2) and hydraulic hose 79B (Figure 3, Item 1) from bulkhead
(Figure 3, Item 3), and cap/plug hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings.
8. Remove three bolts (Figure 3, Item 4), bracket (Figure 3, Item 5), four spacers (Figure 3, Item 6), and
hydraulic hoses (Figure 3, Items 1 and 2) from BMPM (Figure 3, Item 7).
END OF TASK
Screed Lift Hydraulic Cylinder Hose Inspection
1. Inspect hydraulic hoses (Figure 1, Items 1, 2, 3, and 6) (Figure 2, Items 2 and 3) (Figure 3, Items 1 and 2) and
fittings for cracks, holes, wear, or deformities. Replace hydraulic hoses if damaged.
2. Inspect hydraulic fittings on hydraulic cylinders, bulkheads, manifolds, and hoses for cracks, stripped
threading, wear, or deformities. Replace component if damaged.
END OF TASK
Screed Lift Hydraulic Cylinder Hose Installation
1. Install three bolts (Figure 3, Item 4), bracket (Figure 3, Item 5), four spacers (Figure 3, Item 6), and hydraulic
hoses (Figure 3, Items 1 and 2) onto BMPM (Figure 3, Item 7).
2. Remove caps/plugs from hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings.
3. Connect hydraulic hose 78B (Figure 3, Item 2) and hydraulic hose 79B (Figure 3, Item 1) to bulkhead (Figure
3, Item 3).
4. Connect hydraulic hose 78B (Figure 3, Item 2) and hydraulic hose 79B (Figure 3, Item 1) to screed lift
hydraulic cylinder (Figure 3, Item 8).
