DISASSEMBLE VIBRATION RELIEF VALVE.a.Place vibration relief valve (7) in bench vise andremove elbow (3), and straight adapters (4 and5) from vibration relief valve.b.Remove cap nut (9) and flat washer (10).Discard flat washer.c.Hold adjusting screw (11) in position and loosenhex nut (12). Remove hex nut and flat washer(13), making sure that the adjusting screw doesnot turn. Discard flat washer.d.Measure the exposed threads on adjustingscrew (11). This is measurement (A). Thismeasurement will be needed during assembly.e.Remove adjusting screw (11). Take care whenremoving the adjusting screw, relief spring (14)is putting pressure against the adjusting screw.f.Remove relief spring (14) and check ball (15).Thread locking compound solvent cancause eye damage. Wear safetygoggles/glasses when using. Avoidcontact with eyes. If solvent contactseyes, flush eyes with water and getimmediate medical attention.NOTEValve seat may require heat to remove.Heat valve seat with blowtorch, ifnecessary.g.Use a culture swab soaked with thread lockingcompound solvent to loosen valve seat (16) fromvalve body (17).
