Ensure all chains, hooks,slings, etc. are in good condition andare of correct capacity. Ensurehooks are positioned correctly.Always use a spreader bar whennecessary. The lifting hooks mustnot be side loaded.Thread locking compound solventcan cause eye damage. Wear safetygoggles/glasses when using. Avoidcontact with eyes. If solvent contactseyes, flush eyes with water and getimmediate medical attention.a.Clean threads of hex head cap screws(13, 8, and 5) with thread lockingcompound solvent.b.With the help of another person, lowerradiator (4) through front top left accessdoor.c.Install flat washers (7 and 10) andlockwashers (6 and 9) onto hex head capscrews (5 and 8) and lockwashers (14)and flat washers (15) onto hex head capscrews (13).Thread locking compound can causeeye damage. Wear safetygoggles/glasses when using. Avoidcontact with eyes. If compoundcontacts eyes, flush eyes with waterand get immediate medical attention.d.Apply thread locking compound to threadsof hex head cap screws (5, 8, and 13).e.Install hex head cap screws (5). Do nottighten at this time.f.Install radiator bracket (16), hex head capscrews (8 and 13), flat washers (12), andhex nuts (11). Do not tighten cap screwsor hex nuts at this time.h.Tighten hex head cap screws (20, 17, 8,and 5) and hex nut (11) to 37 lb-ft (50N•m).g.Move radiator and shroud as necessary toposition engine fan in center of shroudopening.GO TO NEXT PAGE6-6
