TANK" TO "CIRCULATE IN BAR" (Continued):
Linkage out of adjustment.
Step 2.
Check relation of quadrant lever position with nozzle lever position and adjust
as needed (para 2-29).
Transfer valve in hand spray position.
Step 3.
Set transfer valve to distribute position.
7. SPRAY FOGS:
Pump speed too fast for size of nozzle.

Check "Circulating in Tank" in TM 53895371-10 for proper relationship.
8. SPRAY STREAKS:
Pump speed too slow.

Check "Circulating in Tank" in TM 53895371-10 for proper relationship.
Nozzles not at proper angle.
Step 2.
Adjust with nozzle wrench (refer to TM 5-3895-371-10).
Spray bar at improper height above ground.
step 3.
Adjust spray bar to give nozzle height 12 in. (30.48 cm) above road.
Material temperature too low.
step 4.
Heat material to highest temperature recommended for spraying material.
9. SPRAY LACKS PRESSURE:
Pump speed too slow.
step 1.
Check "Circulating in Tank" (refer to TM 5-3895-371-10) for proper relationship.
One of control valves in incorrect position.
step 2.
Lift quadrant and turn valve plugs to position relative to levers (refer to TM 5-
3895-371-10).
