Engine Interface Wiring Harness Removal -- Continued.
6. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 6) and disconnect red cable (Figure 2, Item 7) from positive battery post (Figure
2, Item 8).
7. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 11) and disconnect two black cables (Figure 2, Item 10) from negative battery
post (Figure 2, Item 9).
8. Remove bolt (Figure 2, Item 1) and disconnect W16 J2 (Figure 2, Item 2) from engine ECM (Figure 2, Item 3).
9. Disconnect W16 J3 (Figure 2, Item 12) from engine ECM (Figure 2, Item 3).
10. Remove two bolts (Figure 2, Item 4) and clamps (Figure 2, Item 5) from engine.

NOTE
Note tags and markings for proper installation.
1. Connect W16 J3 (Figure 2, Item 12) to engine ECM (Figure 2, Item 3).
2. Connect W16 J2 (Figure 2, Item 2) and install bolt (Figure 2, Item 1) to engine ECM (Figure 2, Item 3).
3. Connect two black cables (Figure 2, Item 10) and install bolt (Figure 2, Item 11) to negative battery post
(Figure 2, Item 9).
4. Connect red cable (Figure 2, Item 7) and install bolt (Figure 2, Item 6) to positive battery post (Figure 2, Item
8).
5. Install two bolts (Figure 2, Item 4) and clamps (Figure 2, Item 5) to engine.
