Fumes Exhaust Assembly Installation
WARNING
The fumes exhaust assembly weighs 86 lb (34 kg). Use a suitable lifting device. Failure to comply
may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Install fumes exhaust assembly slowly, being careful not to pinch hoses and electrical cables.
Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
It will be necessary to remove cable ties from cables and hoses for access.
1. Install fumes exhaust housing (Figure 5, Item 2) onto BMPM with assistance.
2. Position fumes exhaust fan (Figure 5, Item 1) inside fumes exhaust housing (Figure 5, Item 2).
3. Install two nuts (Figure 5, Item 9), flat washers (Figure 5, Item 7), new lock washers (Figure 5, Item 8), and
fumes exhaust hydraulic motor (Figure 5, Item 6) onto bolts (Figure 5, Item 4).
NOTE
Align keyway on exhaust hydraulic motor shaft with fumes exhaust fan, and leave a gap of
approximately three-eighths of an inch (1 centimeter (cm)) between exhaust hydraulic motor and
fumes exhaust fan.
4. Install fumes exhaust hydraulic motor (Figure 5, Item 6) onto fumes exhaust fan (Figure 5, Item 1), and install
two set screws (Figure 5, Item 3) onto fumes exhaust fan (Figure 5, Item 1).
5. Install eight bolts (Figure 5, Item 10), new lock washers (Figure 5, Item 11), flat washers (Figure 5, Item 12),
fumes exhaust hydraulic motor (Figure 5, Item 6), fumes exhaust fan (Figure 5, Item 1), and fumes exhaust
cover (Figure 5, Item 5) onto fumes exhaust housing (Figure 1, Item 2).
