Power Wiring Harness Removal -- Continued.
NOTE
Note the routing of power cables to aid in installation.
1. Disconnect battery unit ground cable (Figure 1, Item 32) from negative battery terminal (Figure 1, Item 30).
2. Disconnect battery unit power cable (Figure 1, Item 31) from positive battery terminal (Figure 1, Item 29).
3. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 1), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 2), and negative cable (Figure 1, Item 3) from
starter upper stud (Figure 1, Item 4). Discard lock washer.
4. Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 8), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 7), and positive cable (Figure 1, Item 6) from
starter lower stud (Figure 1, Item 5). Discard lock washer.
5. Remove two nuts (Figure 1, Item 9 and 13), flat washers (Figure 1, Items 10 and 14), and positive and
negative cables (Figure 1, Items 11 and 15) from BATTERY DISCONNECT positive and negative switch
posts (Figure 1, Items 12 and 16).
6. Remove bolt (Figure 1, Item 24), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 23), and negative (-) cable (Figure 1, Item 22)
from negative (-) terminal (Figure 1, Item 21) of NATO slave receptacle. Discard lock washer.
7. Remove bolt (Figure 1, Item 17), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 18), and positive (+) cable (Figure 1, Item 19)
from positive (+) terminal (Figure 1, Item 20) of NATO slave receptacle. Discard lock washer.
8. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 28), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 27), clamps (Figure 1, Item 26), and
positive and negative cables from engine mounting points (Figure 1, Item 25). Discard lock washers.

Power Wiring Harness Installation
NOTE
Route the power cables as noted at removal.
1. Install two bolts (Figure 1, Item 28), two new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 27), two clamps (Figure 1, Item 26),
and positive and negative cables onto engine mounting points (Figure 1, Item 25).
NOTE
Positive (+) and negative (-) symbols are stamped on the respective NATO slave receptacle
terminals.
2. Install bolt (Figure 1, Item 17), new lock washer (Figure 1, Item 18), and positive (+) cable (Figure 1, Item 19)
onto positive (+) terminal (Figure 1, Item 20) of NATO slave receptacle.
3. Install bolt (Figure 1, Item 24), new lock washer (Figure 1, Item 23) and negative (-) cable (Figure 1, Item 22)
onto negative (-) terminal (Figure 1, Item 21) of NATO slave receptacle.
4. Install two nuts (Figure 1, Item 9 and 13), flat washers (Figure 1, Items 10 and 14), and positive and negative
cables (Figure 1, Items 11 and 15) onto BATTERY CONNECT positive and negative switch posts (Figure 1,
Items 12 and 16).
5. Install nut (Figure 1, Item 8), new lock washer (Figure 1, Item 7), and positive cable (Figure 1, Item 6) onto
starter lower stud (Figure 1, Item 5).
