Engine Oil Cooler Removal -- Continued.
NOTE
Use a wrench on the oil cooler head fitting while loosening the oil supply line fitting. This will
help prevent the oil cooler head fitting from accidentally becoming loose.
Place a wiping rag around fitting on turbocharger oil drain line to capture spilled oil.
1. Remove oil supply line (Figure 1, Item 8) and O-ring (Figure 1, Item 7) from oil filter head (Figure 1, Item 5)
fitting. Discard O-ring.
2. Remove 15 bolts (Figure 1, Item 6), oil filter head (Figure 1, Item 5), oil cooler core (Figure 1, Item 3), and two
gaskets (Figure 1, Items 4 and 2) from engine block (Figure 1, Item 1).
3. Disassemble oil filter head (Figure 1, Item 5), oil filter head gasket (Figure 1, Item 4), oil cooler core assembly
(Figure 1, Item 3), and oil cooler core gasket (Figure 1, Item 2). Discard gaskets.
