CAUTION
The oil suction tube gasket is not symmetrical; one side is larger than the other. Note orientation
of gasket when mounted on the engine block and oil suction tube for installation of new gasket at
assembly. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
9. Remove three mounting bolts (Figure 2, Items 1 and 2), oil suction tube (Figure 2, Item 3), and oil suction
tube gasket (Figure 2, Item 4) from engine (Figure 2, Item 5). Discard gasket.

CAUTION
The oil suction tube gasket is not symmetrical; one side is larger than the other. Ensure the oil
suction tube gasket is properly oriented when mounted on the engine. Failure to comply may
cause damage to equipment.
1. Install new oil suction tube gasket (Figure 2, Item 4), oil suction tube (Figure 2, Item 3), and three mounting
bolts (Figure 2, Items 1 and 2) onto engine (Figure 2, Item 5).
2. Torque three mounting bolts (Figure 2, Items 1 and 2) to 216 inch-pounds (in-lb) (24 Newton meters (Nm)).
