Oil Pan and Suction Tube Removal -- Continued.
CAUTION
Avoid using a pry bar or screwdriver to remove oil pan. If necessary, use a putty knife or
utility knife to separate oil pan and oil pan gasket from engine block. Failure to comply may
cause damage to equipment.
Light tapping on oil pan with rubber mallet may be required to break seal between oil pan
and engine. Do not damage oil pan when using mallet. Failure to comply may cause damage
to equipment.
8. Remove oil pan adapter (Figure 1, Item 10), oil pan gasket (Figure 1, Item 8), and oil pan (Figure 1, Item 7)
from engine (Figure 1, Item 9). Discard oil pan gasket.
