CAUTION
Tag and label engine ECM wiring harness connectors prior to removal. Engine ECM wiring
harness connectors must be installed correctly for proper operation. Failure to comply may cause
damage to equipment.
NOTE
Not all engine ECM wiring harness connectors are the same. Some are removed by pressing a
tab on the side of the connector. Others have a separate sliding tab lock (Figure 1) that must be
released before pressing the tab to release the connector. The coolant temperature sensor
connector has a locking clip that must be pulled away from the connector before the connector
can be removed.
