Joystick Optimization -- Continued.
32. Move the left joystick to approximately half the fully forward position (Figure 7, Item 2).
33. Move the right joystick to make the BMPM travel straight.
34. Set the RUN/STOP toggle switch from the RUN position to the STOP position and back to the RUN position.
35. Move the left joystick to the fully forward position (Figure 7, Item 3).
36. Move the right joystick to make the BMPM travel straight.
37. Wait for the BMPM to achieve full speed.
38. Set the RUN/STOP toggle switch from the RUN position to the STOP position and back to the RUN position
to set BMPM maximum forward speed.
39. Place joysticks in the neutral position (Figure 7, Item 1).
40. Move the joysticks reverse until the BMPM is moving reverse slowly (TM 5-3895-385-10).
41. Move the right joystick to make the BMPM travel straight.
42. Set the RUN/STOP toggle switch from the RUN position to the STOP position and back to the RUN position.
43. Move the left joystick to approximately half the fully reverse position (Figure 7, Item 2).
44. Move the right joystick to make the BMPM travel straight.
45. Set the RUN/STOP toggle switch from the RUN position to the STOP position and back to the RUN position.
46. Move the left joystick to the fully reverse position (Figure 7, Item 3).
47. Move the right joystick to make the BMPM travel straight.
48. Wait for the BMPM to achieve full speed.
49. Set the RUN/STOP toggle switch from the RUN position to the STOP position and back to the RUN position
to set BMPM maximum reverse speed.
50. Place joysticks in the neutral position (Figure 7, Item 1).
