10. Remove two bolts (Figure 3, Item 1), lock washers (Figure 3, Item 2), and utility box sides (Figure 3, Item 3)
from mounting holes (Figure 3, Item 11). Discard lock washers.
11. Remove bolt (Figure 3, Item 7), lock washer (Figure 3, Item 6), and flat washer (Figure 3, Item 8) from
hydraulic cylinder shaft (Figure 3, Item 12). Discard lock washer.
12. Loosen bolt (Figure 3, Item 9) until flush with inside of hydraulic cylinder mount slide (Figure 3, Item 10).
13. Remove hydraulic cylinder (Figure 3, Item 5) from hydraulic cylinder shaft (Figure 3, Item 12).

Screed Extension Hydraulic Cylinder Inspection
1. Inspect hydraulic fittings (Figure 2, Items 2 and 3) for cracks, stripped threading, wear, or deformities.
Replace hydraulic fittings if damaged.
2. Inspect hydraulic cylinder (Figure 3, Item 5) for significant scoring and pitting on cylinder shaft. Replace
hydraulic cylinder if damage is found.
3. Inspect hydraulic cylinder (Figure 3, Item 5) for evidence of leaking seals. If leaking seals are found, replace
hydraulic cylinder.
