Screed Extension Slide Plate Assembly Removal -- Continued.
2. Turn two bolts (Figure 1, Item 2) four complete turns counterclockwise.
WARNING
The screed extension slide plate assembly weighs 163 pounds (lb) (74 kilograms (kg)). Use a
suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
Support components when removing/installing the attaching hardware or when component
may fall. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel and damage to equipment.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
3. Remove screed extension slide plate assembly (Figure 1, Item 5) from extension rods (Figure 1, Item 4) with
assistance.
4. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), four lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), two extension rods (Figure 1, Item
4), and two spacers (Figure 1, Item 1) from screed extension with assistance. Discard lock washers.

Screed Extension Slide Plate Assembly Installation
1. Install extension rods (Figure 1, Item 4) into screed extension slide plate assembly (Figure 1, Item 5) with
assistance.
WARNING
The screed extension slide plate assembly weighs 163 lb (74 kg). Use a suitable lifting device.
Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION

2. Install two extension rods (Figure 1, Item 4), screed extension slide plate assembly (Figure 1, Item 5), two
bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), four new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), two spacers (Figure 1, Item 1), two bolts
(Figure 1, Item 6), and four new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 7) into screed extension mounting holes with
assistance.
