Screed Extension Upper Screed Slide Rail Bar Adjustment -- Continued.
WARNING
The screed extension weighs 443 pounds (lb) (201 kilograms (kg)). Use a suitable lifting device.
Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Adjustment for left side and right side are the same. Left side shown.
1. Attach lifting device to the outside edge of screed extension (Figure 1, Item 1).
2. Loosen nine bolts (Figure 1, Item 2).
3. Raise the outside edge of screed extension (Figure 1, Item 1) with a lifting device until screed slide assembly
rests flush (Figure 1, Item 6) in the lower screed slide rail bar (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Move upper screed slide rail bar (Figure 1, Item 3) down until it is flush with the screed slide assembly (Figure
1, Item 5).
5. Tighten nine bolts (Figure 1, Item 2).

FOLLOW-ON TASK
1. Remove lifting device.
2. Set BATTERY DISCONNECT switch to ON (TM 5-3895-385-10).
