Rear Screed Arm Removal -- Continued.
WARNING
The rear screed arm weighs 157 lb (71 kg). Use a suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may
cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
7. Remove rear screed arm (Figure 7, Item 3) from lower hinge point (Figure 7, Item 8) and upper hinge point
(Figure 7, Item 7).

Rear Screed Arm Installation
WARNING
The rear screed arm weighs 157 lb (71 kg). Use a suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may

CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Install rear screed arm (Figure 7, Item 3) onto lower hinge point (Figure 7, Item 8) and upper hinge point
(Figure 7, Item 7).
2. Install bolt (Figure 7, Item 10), new lock washer (Figure 7, Item 11), and flat washer (Figure 7, Item 9) into
lower hinge point (Figure 7, Item 8).
3. Install two bolts (Figure 7, Item 17) and new locking nuts (Figure 7, Item 18) to top bar and screed arm
(Figure 7, Item 3).
NOTE
It may be necessary to crack hydraulic lines and/or adjust flight screws to align hardware.
4. Install screed raise hydraulic cylinder (Figure 7, Item 5), bolt (Figure 7, Item 6), spacer (Figure 7, Item 4), flat
washer (Figure 7, Item 16), and nut (Figure 7, Item 15) onto rear screed arm (Figure 7, Item 3).
5. Install bolt (Figure 7, Item 1) and new locking nut (Figure 7, Item 2) onto rear screed arm (Figure 7, Item 3).
6. Install flat washer (Figure 7, Item 12) and jam nut (Figure 7, Item 14) onto upper hinge bolt (Figure 7, Item 7)
finger-tight.
7. Install jam nut (Figure 7, Item 13) onto upper hinge bolt (Figure 7, Item 7).
