Front Screed Arm Installation -- Continued.
WARNING
The front screed arm weighs 168 lb (76 kg). Use a suitable lifting device. Failure to comply may
cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Install screed arm (Figure 4, Item 4) and spacer along with bushing (Figure 4, Item 7), bolt (Figure 4, Item 6),
and nut (Figure 4, Item 1) onto Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM).
2. Install tow point hydraulic cylinder (Figure 4, Item 2) and clevis pin (Figure 4, Item 5) to screed arm (Figure 4,
Item 4).
3. Install new cotter pin (Figure 4, Item 3) through clevis pin (Figure 4, Item 5).
