The retractable hydraulic-controlled dump truck hitch (Figure 5, Item 1) locks the BMPM and the M917 dump truck
together while the dump truck is unloading and BMPM operations are ongoing. The hitch rollers fit inside the
wheel rims and contact the wheel hubs of the M917 dump truck and similar vehicles while unloading material into
the BMPM hopper. The hitch is integral to the BMPM push bar, located underneath the steel rollers used to move
the truck forward as paving progresses.
