Independently-Controlled Augers

The BMPM is equipped with dual 14-in (355-mm) independently-controlled feed augers (Figure 4, Item 2) and
cutoff shoes (Figure 4, Item 1) to evenly distribute paving material. The augers can distribute paving material
evenly to the entire width of the compacting unit or across either half of the compacting unit as independent
operations. The augers are individually controlled and can be set to function automatically or in manual mode.
The bolt-on cutoff shoes reduce paving width down to 6 ft (1.8 m).
