5.
INSTALL RETAINING RING.
a.
Using spanner wrench, rotate cylinder head
(1). Locate retaining ring groove in milled
opening.
b.
Insert retaining ring (2) hook-end first into
milled opening. Ensure retaining ring
catches on cylinder head.
c.
Rotate cylinder head, in same direction that
retaining ring (2) was inserted, 1-1/4 turns
to pull in retaining ring. Ensure retaining
ring is fully seated.
NOTE
FOLLOW-ON-TASK: Install screed lift cylinder per TM 5-3895-373-20.
