NOTE
This task provides procedures for
replacing the deck, screed guard
plates,
screed
steps,
screed
handrails,
and
walkway
steps.
Perform only those steps necessary
to
complete
the
maintenance
required.
A.
REMOVE.
1.
REMOVE DECK AND DECK SUPPORT.
a.
Have a second person support deck
support
while
hardware
is
removed.
Remove hex head cap screws (1) and flat
washers (2) from both sides of deck (3).
b.
Remove hex head cap screw (4), hex nut
(5), and flat washer (6).
c.
With the help of a second person, lift deck
(3) from deck support (7). If required, use
a crowbar to gently pry deck loose.
