In order toeliminate pressure inside the hopperlift cylinder, it may be necessary toremove outlet port straight adapterbefore manually extending the liftcylinder.b.Manually extend hopper lift cylinder piston rod.Instruct a second person to position piston rodend (20) for mounting on hopper wing.c.From inside hopper, guide a second person inlining up piston rod end (20) bore with mountinghole.Thread locking compound can causeeye damage. Wear safetygoggles/glasses when using. Avoidcontact with eyes. If compoundcontacts eyes, flush eyes with waterand get immediate medical attention.d.Apply thread locking compound to threads ofshoulder screw (5). Install shoulder screw andtighten using hex head driver socket and socketwrench adapter.e.Rotate the hopper lift cylinder so that ports (21)are toward the outside of the paving machineand the port fittings are pointed toward the rearof the paving machine.NOTEThe hoist may need to berepositioned to allow for alignment ofthe hopper lift cylinder lower pin boreand installation of the straightheaded pin.f.Place lower cylinder pin bore (22) into pavingmachine mounting bracket (23).g.Install straight headed pin (11), flat washers (12),and lock pin (10).GO TO NEXT PAGE15-53
