PAVING MACHINE STARTUP.
NOTE
All crew members must become
thoroughly familiar with the location
and use of controls, instruments,
accessories, and characteristics of
the paving machine before use.

Prior to operating the paving machine at the
beginning of each personnel change, perform
the daily checks and services as outlined in
paragraph 2.7.
b.
Set the paving machine controls to the following
positions:
Gauge Panel......................................................... Position
Control handles ..................................................... Neutral
Work light switches ......................................................Off
Throttle control switch ................................................. Idle
Speed range switch.................................. "Tortoise" Pave
Travel switch.................................................... Neutral "N"
