Side Right Plate Removal -- Continued.
1. Remove two bolts (Figure 1, Item 20), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 19), flat washers (Figure 1, Item 18), and
floorboard gusset (Figure 1, Item 4) along with tether (Figure 1, Item 17) from floorboard (Figure 1, Item 5).
Discard lock washers.
2. Disconnect W1 J23 (Figure 1, Item 3) from right sonic auger (Figure 1, Item 2).
3. Disconnect W1 J37 (Figure 1, Item 21) from right system 5 connection point (Figure 1, Item 1).
4. Remove 10 bolts (Figure 1, Item 9), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 8), and flat washers (Figure 1, Item 7) from
Bituminous Material Paving Machine (BMPM) (Figure 1, Item 16). Discard lock washers.
5. Remove five bolts (Figure 1, Item 15), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 14), and flat washers (Figure 1, Item 13)
from BMPM (Figure 1, Item 16). Discard lock washers.
WARNING
The side right plate weighs 62 pounds (lb) (28 kilograms (kg)). Two personnel or a suitable lifting
device is necessary to lift component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
6. Remove three bolts (Figure 1, Item 12), lock washers (Figure 1, Item 11), flat washers (Figure 1, Item 10),
and side right plate (Figure 1, Item 6) from BMPM (Figure 1, Item 16) with assistance. Discard lock washers.

Side Right Plate Installation
WARNING
The side right plate weighs 62 lb (28 kg). Two personnel or a suitable lifting device is necessary
to lift component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Install side right plate (Figure 1, Item 6), three bolts (Figure 1, Item 12), new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 11),
and flat washers (Figure 1, Item 10) onto BMPM (Figure 1, Item 16) with assistance.
2. Install five bolts (Figure 1, Item 15), new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 14), and flat washers (Figure 1, Item
13) onto BMPM (Figure 1, Item 16).
3. Install 10 bolts (Figure 1, Item 9), new lock washers (Figure 1, Item 8), and flat washers (Figure 1, Item 7)
onto BMPM (Figure 1, Item 16).
4. Connect W1 J23 (Figure 1, Item 3) onto right sonic auger (Figure 1, Item 2).
5. Connect W1 J37 (Figure 1, Item 21) onto right system 5 connection point (Figure 1, Item 1).
