Auger Removal -- Continued.
WARNING
The auger outer section weighs 62 pounds (lb) (28 kilograms (kg)). Two personnel or a suitable
lifting device is necessary to lift component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to
personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Note the orientation of auger sections before removal so augers can be installed correctly.
5. Remove auger outer section (Figure 3, Item 1) from auger tube (Figure 3, Item 9) with assistance.
6. Remove two bolts (Figure 3, Items 5 and 7), lock washers (Figure 3, Items 4 and 6), and nuts (Figure 3, Items
11 and 12) from auger inner section (Figure 3, Item 10) and auger tube (Figure 3, Item 9). Discard lock
washers.
WARNING
The auger tube and auger inner section weigh 70 lb (32 kg). Two personnel or a suitable lifting
device is necessary to lift component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
The auger tube is not reversible; it must be installed correctly if auger sections are to fit and
function properly. Note orientation of the auger tube at removal so it can be installed correctly.
7. Remove auger tube (Figure 3, Item 9) and auger inner section (Figure 3, Item 10) from auger sprocket
assembly shaft (Figure 3, Item 8) with assistance.
8. Remove auger inner section (Figure 3, Item 10) from auger tube (Figure 3, Item 9) with assistance.
