CAUTION
Prior to installing new crankshaft rear oil seal, clean all oil and seal residue from crankshaft
nose and crankshaft rear oil seal seat. Failure to comply may cause improper installation and
damage to equipment.
Use of impact wrench or air tools may damage the crankshaft seal replacer tool. Failure to
comply may cause damage to equipment.
1. Lubricate crankshaft rear oil seal (Figure 4, Item 1) with clean engine oil.
2. Leave crankshaft rear oil seal (Figure 4, Item 1) on plastic support ring it was supplied with and place both
over crankshaft nose (Figure 4, Item 2).
3. Install crankshaft rear oil seal (Figure 4, Item 1) over crankshaft nose (Figure 4, Item 2) and as far as possible
into crankshaft rear oil seal seat.
4. Install replacer screw (Figure 4, Item 3) onto crankshaft nose (Figure 4, Item 2), and install two bolts (Figure
4, Item 4) found in crankshaft oil seal replacement kit.
