Flywheel Installation -- Continued.
WARNING
Flywheel weighs 50 lb (23 kg). Two personnel or a suitable lifting device is necessary to lift
component. Failure to comply may cause injury or death to personnel.
CAUTION
Properly support the item being lifted. Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Transfer the index mark made on the original flywheel during removal to the new flywheel.
Use three evenly-spaced hydraulic double pump drive plate bolts installed into holes on
outside edge of flywheel for handles.
1. Install flywheel (Figure 2, Item 2), eight flat washers (Figure 2, Item 3), and mounting bolts (Figure 2, Item 4)
onto crankshaft hub (Figure 2, Item 1) finger-tight with assistance.
2. Instruct an assistant to block flywheel (Figure 2, Item 2) from turning by using barring tool.
3. Torque eight mounting bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) alternately to 22 foot-pounds (ft-lb) (30 Nm).
