Screed Slope Hydraulic Cylinder Inspection
1. Inspect hydraulic fittings on screed slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2, Item 2) for cracks, stripped threading,
wear, or deformities. Replace hydraulic fittings if damaged.
2. Inspect screed slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2, Item 2) for significant scoring and pitting on cylinder shaft.
Replace hydraulic cylinder if damage is found.
3. Inspect screed slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2, Item 2) for evidence of leaking seals. If leaking seals are
found, replace hydraulic cylinder.

Screed Slope Hydraulic Cylinder Installation
1. Install bolt (Figure 2, Item 7), new lock washer (Figure 2, Item 8), flat washer (Figure 2, Item 9), and screed
slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2, Item 2) onto hydraulic cylinder shaft (Figure 2, Item 10) and slope post
(Figure 2, Item 1).
2. Remove caps/plugs from hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings on screed slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2,
Item 2).
3. Connect elbow fittings (Figure 2, Item 3 and 6) to screed slope hydraulic cylinder (Figure 2, Item 2).
4. Connect hydraulic hoses (Figure 2, Item 4 and 5) to elbow fittings (Figure 2, Item 3 and 6).
