MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
2. If resistance is less than 10 Ω,
go to next malfunction.
6. ECM fault.
1. Inspect engine ECM connector
1. If damaged, replace engine
for damage or loose pins.
ECM (WP 0332, Vol 2).
2. If not damaged, proceed to next
test.
2. Disconnect C11 J2 from Y4
(WP 0451, Vol 3, Figure 49)
and C3 J2 from Y14 (WP 0451,
Vol 3, Figure 49).
3. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
4. Measure voltage at ECM
1. If voltage is between 4.75 VDC
between crankshaft engine
and 5.25 VDC, turn keyless
speed sensor SUPPLY (pin 16)
engine switch to the OFF
and ECM crankshaft engine
position (TM 5-3895-385-10),
speed sensor RETURN (pin 48)
and proceed to next test.
(WP 0443, Vol 3 and WP 0448,
Vol 3, Figure 25).
2. If voltage is not between 4.75
VDC and 5.25 VDC, turn
keyless engine switch to the
OFF position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), and replace engine ECM
(WP 0332, Vol 2).
5. Restore equipment to original
condition.
6. Turn BATTERY DISCONNECT
switch to OFF position (TM 5-
3895-385-10), and wait for 5
seconds.
7. Turn BATTERY DISCONNECT
switch to ON position (TM 5-
3895-385-10).
8. Start engine (TM 5-3895-385-
