TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
CAUTION
All active fault codes must be investigated prior to replacing the engine Electronic Control Module
(ECM). Failure to comply may cause damage to equipment.
NOTE
Some sensors share harness wiring. Malfunctions in certain sensors, or in the engine ECM, may
cause false errors to display because of this shared wiring. For this malfunction (SPN#157,
FMI#2), harness wiring is shared by the fuel rail pressure sensor, the camshaft position sensor,
the water-in-fuel sensor, and the intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor.

TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Multiple faults displayed.
1. Install fuse box (WP 0277, Vol
2).
2. Connect battery cables (WP
0357, Vol 2).
3. Turn keyless engine switch to
AUX position (TM 5-3895-385-
10), but do not start engine.
Wait for 30 seconds.
4. Check active engine faults
